As I have mentioned in previous posts, Sarah started a tradition with our nieces and nephews long ago, that everybody refers to as their "Summer of Fun". The Neices and Nephews of my youngest Brother and his Wife are getting to be the age that we begin this tradition. Unfortunately they are on a year round school schedule. For some reason, their oldest daughter is on a different year round schedule than the rest of them, including my Sister-in-Law, whom is a teacher. So, as it worked out, they were in a bind as to what to do with Grace in her off period while the rest of them had to go to school. We happily took the opportunity to celebrate her Summer of Fun.....Fall of Fun!
Scott flew up to Utah with Grace, dropped her off outside the terminal and then immediately boarded the next flight back home. That's a good Dad right there! Grandma Leslie, Auntie Sarah along with Cousins Madyson, Leah and Dax met her at the airport with signs they made to welcome her.
It was a bit more difficult doing the Fall of Fun compared to the Summer of Fun. In the Summertime, our kids are out of school and Sarah has the ability to pack each and every day with fun activities. Due to the fact that this was somewhat of a last minute situation and in the Fall when the kids are in school, Sarah did her best to keep her busy along with the help of Grandma, Uncle Jim, Aunt Samantha and Cousin Mady. In the evenings and weekend we were able to work in some fun activities like movies, roller skating, bowling, Utah Grizzlies hockey game, Aquarium, eating yummy food, video games, dancing and more.

We had a blast having Grace around. She was a gracious and polite guest and we look forward to her future Summers of Fun. Scott and Cynthia paid for Hailey to fly up to Utah which in essence hit two birds with one stone. It was a wonderful gift to Hailey and her family as they had just been separated when Jim, Sam and Madyson moved to Utah, but Hailey stayed back in California. Hailey didn't let any hints out that she was coming and her family was stoked to see her. They were very grateful for the awesome gift from Scott and Cynthia. It also allowed Hailey to fly home with Grace at the end of the week. We had fun, Grace, and we look forward to the next time you visit.
