Summer Round 1, May and June

Summer got off to a crazy start.  A month straight of rain (May) followed by the hottest June on the books!  We have had a fun Summer so far.  Here is the proof!

Leah and Dax got to visit Uncle Jake's work.  The highlight was seeing the tractors and wearing safety goggles.

It was an extremely rainy May.

We battled the rain to visit the new LDS Temple in Payson, Utah.  Simply beautiful!

Leah's first tooth gone!
Leah lost her first tooth and got two crisp dollars under her pillow for her troubles!
Unfortunately, Leah and Dax's fish, Lightning McQueen, went belly up one day.  Leah opted to bury him rather than flushing him.  She said the sweetest prayer after returning him to the Earth.

Elijah came over and learned how to safely start a fire the right way as a Scout requirement.
Mother's Day was fun.  Sarah was treated to French Toast, Bacon and Milk prepared and served by Leah.

Sarah got a zero gravity recliner for Mother's Day and has used it several times a week since.

We got a snowcone machine and have kept a steady flow of nasty sweet sugary syrups pouring down their throats!

The Pass of All Passes have helped us endure the hot June by visiting 7 Peaks Water Park regularly.

My two bathing beauties!

Leah is a fish out of water so she loves visiting the water park.

Father's Day was great.  I was spoiled by Sarah, the kids and my Mom.
Fatherhood isn't always easy, but these two make it worth while.
This being the first Father's Day since my D.O.D. passed away made it a little difficult at times.  Sarah honored me and my Dad by giving me this memorial rock and a rose bush to place in my garden.
Just like his old man, the kid loves cars.

This whole "Most Blessed Man" thing is not a new thing.  I've been blessed my whole life with an amazing family and now my an amazing family of my own.  In addition to that and so important to me, is the amazing people I have had the blessing to call friends.  Kelly is one of my most dear friends from my adolescents and she visited us this Summer.

Leah wants a dog...or a cat...or a horse...so we arranged with our dear neighbors to let her feed and brush their horses, Chico and Summer twice a week.  She has been fairly consistent considering our busy Summer.

Sometimes Dax comes along.

Chico asks, "Does this hay make my butt look big?"

Summer means bright and happy sidewalk chalk art.
Sarah's brother and Sister-in-Law announced this June that they will be expecting a girl this year!!!  Congrats, Jake and Erin!

Dax is excited to know he'll have another girl cousin.

With the Summer being so hot and drought watering restrictions, it's been a task to keep the lawn green, but I think I've managed okay.

He's such a goofball!

Summer means time spent doing my favorite thing...laying in the hammock after mowing the lawn and listening to good music or playing my Uke.

In an effort to downsize I bought a 10 year old truck.  It is in good condition and will cost less than my Mercedes.  Now I just need to sell the Mercedes!

Sarah and her Sister, Molly, do an awesome job of keeping the kids busy during the Summer.  Here they are on one of their many hikes.

Super Mom!

They keep Trafalga in business!

We skipped out for an English Beat concert one night and realized at midnight when the concert was still rolling full steam that we are now officially old people.

Leah at the Aviary

Nothing to see here, but a couple flamingos!

Leah loves space and Astronomy.  She was excited to see Venus and Jupiter this month.

Summer means POPSICLES!!!

STAY TUNED!!!  MORE FUN IS SURE TO COME IN JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER!!!
