Commentary to Follow!

This is the third Summer in a row that we had Hailey and Madyson with us for a couple weeks of Summer Vacation. I am pretty sure the girls had a fun time. I hope they appreciated all the time, effort, preparation and money Aunt Pooh put into their visit. I am sure they do, besides, Pooh loves doing it. She had different activities, chores, meals and events for every day. They really wore me out and I was only there in the evenings. I will try to make it back here to leave some commentary and give everyone an idea of some of what they did. We were so grateful to have them with us and it was sad when they left us. Sniff, Sniff. Oh well. There is always next year.
We ate like royalty while the girls were here. Pooh really treated us to some good meals. One of the meals were prepared by Madyson and she chose to make spaghetti tacos! Interesting. Not terrible, but still interesting.
The dinner came before the show. The girls (Hailey, Mady and Pooh) choreographed a fun dance routine so they got themselves all Gaga'ed up.
Of Course, The Lou loves spaghetti
Apparently Pooh liked it too!
Chef Mady
They had Wii Dance competitions
The girls in our family are all quite good dancers
They also had a silly string fight. Hailey is showing off her silly string ball after the melee'.
Pooh seemed to have lost
The Lou was clean on the sidelines
Mady the Silly String Warrior. As you can see in the background, another fun thing they did was sleep outside among all the wild animals at night.
They invited the Reed boys to join in the fun
The Lou enjoyed the slip n' slide at Grandmas
The girls did chores every day. I was too critical of their work, but they need some training big time when it comes to details and doing a good job. With that said, they never complained and were always so willing to help. What great girls.
Hailey did a fantastic job on Sarah's Mother's lawn.
They made a trip to the Children's Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Point
Unfortunately, the Utah weather this year has left much to be desired.
That didn't stop them from playing in the water.

I wasn't there, but the pics look like they had fun.

Hailey's funny face. I debated putting this on Facebook
GRRRRR!!!
Both Mady and Hailey did a great job of taking care of the younger kids. They will both be fantastic Mothers one day.

They enjoyed a night at Grandma's and opened a Mexican Restaurant called Las Chicas. Pooh and I were treated to a four course high end Mexican meal. Muy Bueno!
We spent a day at Park City. The Lou loved the go around rides...as usual.
We rode the Alpine Coasters after a 15 minute ride up the mountain on the ski lift.

Making the hike to the launching pad

Speed Demons

We had a fun time with the girls at the Buck N' Beaver Lodge. We played games, ate good food, rode the ATVs and watched movies.

The girls played pranks on the Ashbys next door. Pranks such as forking their lawn and dressing their dog in a bikini. The Ashbys got us back by putting coins in our fountain and a bunch of rubber duckies.
The Lou loves Classic Skate
A good stretch before hitting the floor can help avoid injury
Grandma had fun with The Lou while the rest of us skated.
Classic Skate Pose

Mady got the hang of it by the time we left, but Hailey was a natural. Neither had skated prior.
Mom and Daughter skate team
WHEE!!!!!

Fun times at Classic Skate
Leah was sick one night so I stayed home while they went to Pirate Island with Joe and Brenda.
Goofiness ensued
ARGGGGHHHHH!

Hailey and Mady became honorary members of The Lou's sippy cup society
This is how we mostly saw Hailey....Always texting.
They love spending time with Grandma and she loves spending time with them.

Leah loves her some corn
The girls got to pan for gold among other things as we visited the "This is the Place State Heritage Park".
Trains, Bonnets, Old Timey Candy and Panning For Gold. Can life get better?!
They love their Aunty Sarah and she loves them.
Hailey helped Leah find gold.
They rode the horses and mules

Bonnets for the Bonnies

Twins?

We had a fun time. We can't wait for next year.

They had so much fun! Part of the pre-excitement is the invitation and schedule she gets them involved in. They made welcome signs and decorated their temporary rooms and gave them a schedule and journal for their activities.

Have I said how impressed I am with my sweet daughter-in-law Sarah?
