The following pictures are of my Mother's Birthday. Sorry I didn't include these in the previous post. Sarah is a great daughter-in-law. She loves my Mother dearly and my Mother loves her dearly.
Not only am I grateful to be married to such an awesome woman, by my family is grateful too. Sarah rarely ever forgets a birthday or special day and she always tries her best to make those she loves feel special. My Mother is no exception. Sarah prepared a beautiful table setting for my Mother's Birthday Dinner.
Sarah asked my Mom what she wanted and the response surprisingly didn't come back, "Popeye's"!? What the?! Mom wanted meatloaf and potatoes. So, together with Sarah, we made a traditional meatloaf with glaze alongside mashed potatoes and gravy. It was delicious!
My Mom appreciates fancied up things so the gold plates, red goblets and pretty table cloth and place mats were enjoyed.
We gave Mom 18 roses too! One for every two years she has been on this Earth! 36 years young, right Mom?! ;)
To top off the night, Sarah made a deliciously rich chocolate mousse cake with whipped cream and chocolate chips. Yummy! We had to eat quickly to get to the movie, "Meet the Mormons" which my Mom also chose. It was a simple, short and sweet celebration, but nowhere indicative of the love we have for this great woman, Mother, Mother-in-law, Wife, Sister, Daughter and Grandma. Happy Birthday, Mum!
