Random September Photos

September has come and gone.  We had some good times and some bad times.  Luckily, it is our nature to only take pictures of the good times.

Leah is growing up so fast.  Once a week I ask her to please stop growing up.  She never agrees.  She is so anxious to grow up; make up, nails, etc.  She is all girl.

Dax is all boy! Raising a boy is so much different than raising a girl.  This kid never stops!  It's a good thing he is so dang cute and fun because he is a little punk at times.  I still love him so much.

It is nice on the rare occasion when he tires himself out and takes a nap.

Sept 7th, Sarah and I celebrated, fairly quietly, our 12th anniversary.  Grandma Leslie watched the kids while we caught a movie.  While we were gone, Grandma, Leah and Dax drew pictures for us and decorated the house.

Leah was so proud of herself to surprise us with the decorated house.

"Bless this house as we come and go...Bless our home as the children grow...Bless our families when they gather in...Bless this house with love and friends."  A fitting prayer for our home.  Thank you Grandma Leslie for the wonderful gift.

Leah drew this picture of her and Dax dancing in the back yard while we had a campfire.

Grandma Leslie drew this picture of our wedding day.

This is a picture of Daddy and Mommy (accompanied by hearts), Dax and Leah watching football on the television.  Drawn by Leah.

Leah drew this picture of Daddy giving horsey rides to her and her little brother.  Drawn by Leah (5).

Though Dax can be a little punk and a bit too rough with Leah, they love each other dearly.  They play well together as well.

Daddy took Leah backyard camping.  Before bedtime we had a campfire and made S'mores...Sarah's favorite food on the whole wide planet!

Candace came over to join us for some sweet campfire desserts.

She loves the kids and they love her.

Sarah in S'mores heaven.

The fire cast shadows on the backyard fence.  Once Leah discovered that, she spent the next 30 minutes dancing and watching her shadow dance along.

She is such a cute little girl and an amazing dancer.  It is no surprise why she has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger.

We don't use our fire pit enough, but we have a few times this past Summer.

Dax is into stealing all of our shoes these days.  Here is is wearing Leah's Bella Ballerina Shoes.
