I have always acknowledged how blessed I am to have the In-Laws that I do. It's still fun to make the token In-Laws joke from time to time, but in reality, I've got it fairly good and I'm grateful. For the last few years (7?) we've had the tradition of going camping together as a family late in the Summer, usually right before school starts again. This year, instead of camping, we rented a house in the Ogden Valley around Pineview Reservoir. Mom and Dave drove up from Arizona to join us as they usually do. We shared good meals, played some games, enjoyed the lake and more. As with many good things, they often come to an end. I'm not sure how much longer we will maintain this tradition, but it was fun while it lasted.

Mom and Grandpa Dave brought this blow up bouncing bull ride floaty for the kids to play on. They loved it. |
Uncle Josh and Aunt Marie rented a wave runner for a few hours The kids really enjoyed being pulled around the lake in a tube. |
Leah's always been a water bug. From day one. She really enjoys using a SUP. I think we may need to get one soon. |
Aunt Erin holding Jonah. Jonah is the latest and newest member of the family. |
| Reagan, along with Dax were mostly interested in playing in the sand and dirt. |
Leah giving Emerson a ride on the SUP. You can see the haze in the sky. The state was ravaged by wildfire this year and we had hoped that the higher elevation would help us to escape it, but it was really bad. Even up there. |

Not the most flattering position I've been photographed, but perhaps one of the most comfortable.

| Uncle Jake out on the SUP. |
| Cole setting out to high sea. |
Uncle Duane helped Dax and Reagan learn the physics behind hydro- engineering as they let water naturally carve out a canyon to the lake. |
| Josh and Marie heading out to do a little wake boarding. |
| Baby Reagan really getting after that watermelon. |
| Dax and Reagan rehydrating. Hydro-engineering is hard work! |
| Where there is a sugary treat, there will Leah be also. |
To end the trip, we all put on the cool shirts that Sarah made for us and took family pictures. The shirts read in a tree...
WILSON
Blame It All On My Roots
She's really talented and thoughtful to put it altogether. Everybody contributed to meals and fun and cleaning the house. Josh and Marie took the time to book the house. These outings have been fun, but they've become a bit much so I don't know if we will continue the tradition annually any longer. We've sure made a lot of memories in the meantime.

The Whole Famn Damily! Notice the framed picture in the middle that Leah and Emerson are holding. Sarah thoughtfully brought a picture of her Dad, John Wilson, so that he could be recognized with the family. Though he passed 16 years ago, He left a legacy behind him. |
